My friend has been going to Slimming World for 9 weeks now and so I made the decision yesterday to join her. I've been wanting to lose weight for ages but when I try to eat healthier or anything by myself I'm not good at sticking to it and slide back so this is somewhere I can put my weigh loss journey (as everyone here is more supportive than a select few people on my FB). My starting point is 13.8 stone and my target weight is 10.7 stone without a timeframe for it. I used to run and cycle and was generally fit and healthy and I feel sluggish and not motivated so I'm hoping that by losing weight it will help me mentally. Running myself into the ground caused M.E. and since then I've slowly put weight on and don't move anywhere near as much as I'd like to. Putting it here and going to the weekly group I'm hoping will keep me accountable and therefore motivate me. |

I just started a "lifestyle change" (trying to avoid the word diet). So I've been getting more active, cut out all soda and juice (I only drink water now), and we eat soooo much healthier now. So, you are not alone! I weigh just over 160lbs which is my heaviest I've ever been. So I'm trying to get back down to 140lb. |

I recently had to go through an eating habit change as well. I weighed around 150lbs in january. By just cutting out the fast food, chocolate and a bunch of sugary foods, ive lost 15lbs in 2 months. I also try not to eat past 5:30 or 6pm as the night time munchies pack on the lbs too! I basically have a slice of 100% whole wheat, whole grain bread with pnut butter for breakfast, a snacksize yogurt, triscuits and another slize of pnut butter bread for my 1st break and then triscuits and another slice of bread for my 2nd break. We alternate between cereal, eggs and baked/grilled chicken for dinner. If I need something sweet I eat 1 or 2 vanilla wafers since Im not suppose to have chocolate. In feb 15th i went wedding dress shopping and this past weekend(3/14) I went to go pick it up and turns out i went from a size 10 dress down to a size 6! I always drink water as i dont like any other drinks...boring i know! Also, I lost all of this without any excercising, besides feeding my horses, cleaning a stall and riding of course! |
