I'm wondering how many contests people like to see in each club and what the "right" HPD prize would be for each contest? Do you guys think popularity of the club should factor in to the contests and prize amount? I know dog clubs seem to be less active than the horse clubs, so should they give more contests/prizes? 

Personally, I don't think popularity of the clubs or activity should determine the amount/quality of the prizes.  If someone really wants to get a not so active club active they will provide more than the normal prize.  

On the actual "right" amount of HPD prizes I think it's kind of nice that the presidents have the choice to use their own descretion when setting prizes.  I guess there could be like a base line to use like 500k for correct trivia answers, 5 mill for mascot winner, etc. but I wouldn't really blanket all the clubs in together for this is the "right" prize and you should do it like this.

Thanks Tron! I'm just wondering everyone's opinion on the matter. Not that I'm running for president, but when I have, I've kind of struggled with how much prize money to give away with each contest. I've never wanted to give too little but at the same time I had a budget and I couldn't give away too much.

You bet Sass!  If/when you are prez of the clubs I would just base my current prizes off of what the clubs are doing at that time.  Prizes always go up and down depending on whos running, the season, HP economy, etc. So things are ALWAYS changing here which makes making a baseline hard.  

Whenever I did anything, I always did it in increments of 5 mil. It really depends on what you can spare, but I find that's about the minimum for people to uh... care. To enter anything. Even if they're guaranteed that entry money.
