Caliban's War, the second book in the Expanse series by James S.A. Corey (i.e. Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck), and thoroughly enjoying it even though I've watched the TV version so many times that I know it like the back of my hand. ETA - @Eyre, if it isn't too late. On the subject of Discworld, they tend to be very 'marmite' books (either love them or hate them). But if you're into surreal fantasy that doesn't take itself (or anyone else) very seriously, then give them a go! Pratchett was also just... a master with language, and brilliant at playing around with language. Something that I didn't realise so much when listening to the audiobooks as a kid, but that you really pick up on when reading his writing. |

Can't find my copy of Wings by Terry Pratchett, to finish the trilogy, so I'm going to start The Cay by Theodore Taylor, which is a relatively short story. The above may be followed by Precious (book based on the movie, which was based on Push by Sapphire). Or Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee by Dee Brown. |

@Kuw -- I thoroughly enjoyed "The Cay" and keep trying to get my dad to read it; just a great story about humanity and the power of human connection, if allowed for the possibility of connection Just As I Am by Cecily Tyson |

Because of You - Dawn French Full of plot holes and mildly entertaining, but a super easy read to 'reset' my brain before tackling some university content. |

Almost finished with A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire, book 2 of the Blood and Ash series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I was hesitent to read them as they are not my normal genre, but I love them! |

Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee is hard to keep going with, but I'll get through it gradually. Quench the Lamp by Alice Taylor. A 31-page preview is here (top right corner): https://tinyurl.com/4jrcdybe |

Speak Ill of the Dead by Mary Jane Maffini...she's a local author who used to be a librarian! Haven't read this since high school in the early 2000s. It takes place in my city too. |
