Isn't hangman kind of offensive?

I mean.
The game itself is based on the idea of hanging somebody, so yes, I suppose it is.

Depends on if you take it in a serious note, or just as a game?

I am absolutely loving having nightly hangman with Nekkers, and so far nobody has found it all offensive?

It is really difficult to try and be PC on every single thing, even though we should always strive to be inclusive. It's simple a childhood game, giving three or four of us each evening a place to hang out and unwind.

I'm more meaning hangman as a concept. Pretty sure the idea behind it was lynchings...

Not saying it's not allowed, just my thought on the matter.

It definitely can be.  
It used to be like, popular town festivites to go to a lynching or hanging so.

I appreciate this conversation going on right now because as a suicide survivor, the game just doesn't sit well with me, hence I haven't really participated. It's not about being politically correct so much as it is about showing the community you care by using intentional language and not replicating toxic or harmful environments. 

Just my two cents! Maybe there is another game that is more suitable for the community?

Are we going to have any more actitivites for the month?

Normally we have something each week - I really look foward to them :(

News/Forum announcements are only for Staff-run activities/events & for Club Presidents for Club run activities/events.

I know of Hangman alternatives such as "Grow the flower" or "Build a snowman".  That being said, I will have to consider how to play those in forums and neither are very forum-friendly for the shapes.  Hmmmm.  We could to blast-off - it's basically a 5 countdown of wrong guesses.

Goose, if a game I host ever does bother you please let me know - I have no issues changing things but also I can't do so unless it's brought to my attention.  Unfortunately, there are so many things that can be triggering to some and not to others that it can be hard, at times, to know what may or may not be upsetting to others. :)
