Eagle Photos

Hi everyone! I got to go on an eagle cruise for the first time this year! Lake Coeur d'Alene is a very popular spot for the eagles to migrate to later in the year and this year there were recond breaking numbers! Which was so amazing to see! On our cruise they counted a total of 278 eagles. We went on the cruise at mid day, and the eagles were still very far off, so my pictures didn't turn out at great as I would have liked, but I was still happy that I got some good shots! BEAUTIFUL shots! I wish we had something like that around here!ย ย Closest I get is if you go on a nature walk in the winter, you can feed Chickadees out of your hand.ย ย Or I saw an owl on my way home from work one day a few weeks ago :P   |

Tron I live near Couer d'Alene. We went last weekend, sadly today was the last day that the cruise was running. However, if you come up here you can drive around the lake and probably see some, or if you walk the centennial trail around the lake you could probably see some. As it gets colder here the eagles move further south, which is why the cruise only goes from November-December I believe. |

That's a LOT of eagles!! We actually see quite a few eagles around where we live as they nest along the river nearby but I've yet to ever see one perched close enough for a good photo shot like those!  |

Flair!ย I had no idea about this!ย I've been to the lake several times but had no idea about it.ย I was actually almostย up there this past weekend for NYE.ย Maybe I will go on the cruise next year and we can meet up! :D |
