I thought it would be fun for everyone to post any random facts they know (or something you Googled or whatever). It can be about anything as long as it's HP-appropriate. One player posts one fact. I'll start: The Icelandic word for computer is tölva. It was coined in the '60s and is a combination of the words tala (to count) and völva (prophetess). |

Garfield was never intended to be funny. It was a conscious (and very successful) effort to create a comic strip that would be marketable and make money, not laughs. |

Safeway was slapped with a lawsuit for not stating how much "Kona Coffee" was in their "Kona Coffee Blend". It was said to be misleading as majority of the coffee was in fact NOT from Kailua-Kona, HI. Home of the famous Kona Coffee beans. Hawaii is known for their coffee. They had to pay out over $5 Million Dollars to consumers. |

There is a herd of wild horses on the Island of Hawaii(Big Island) that live deep in a valley called Waipio Valley. Basiclly a hawaiian mustang xD

Catatumbo lightning refers to a very intesive thunderstorm in the mouth of Catatumbo, where the Catatumbo River meets Lake Maracaibo in Venezuela. The thunderstorms are there for about 260 days per year, and 10 hours per day! Catatumbo lightning changes its frequency and it is different from year to year. For ages people with ships navigated on these thunderstorms; They are seen from 150 km away! |
