The only reason Pluto was stripped of its Planethood is because it has not "cleared the neighborhood around its orbit," according to the International Astronomical Union's current definition of what a planet is. However, neither have any of the other "planets" in our solar system that have moons - which are literally objects trapped in a planet's orbit. That means only Venus and Mercury are actual "planets."

The definition of "planet" (last changed in 2006) is therefore still highly contested among astronomers.
