So I have lived a fairly normal life and nothing out of the norm has ever really happened. There is one incident that seriously stands out and still gives me the heebie jeebies. This is an actual experience and I am so glad I can say we've never experienced anything like it since.
My husband and I used to live in an apartment that was old and dated, but had amazing views of the River. The rent was a little spendy, but waking up to a beautiful river just outside our windows was worth it. The way it was set up you always had to pass by the master bedroom door on your way from the kitchen to the front room. Every morning I would wake up, grab my coffe, and walk to the front room to sit down and enjoy the river & wildlife. Some mornings while I would walk past the master bedroom door I would see a "figure" by the dresser in my peripheral vision. I would stop and look through the doorway, but nothing was ever there.
Fast forward a couple months to around 2:30am on a dark Saturday early morning. I woke up in a cold sweat, heart racing, and immediately sat up in bed. My vision was a little blurry and my brain foggy from the drinks we had with friends the evening prior. I waited for my eyes to adjust. With us being close to the river and away from the city there wasn't much light leaking through the blinds. I immediately directed my eyes towards the dresser and saw a tall dark figure. I closed my eyes and shook my head, and opened my eyes again. No more figure. I scanned the room, and nothing was out of place. I chalked it up to a weird dream and my eyes tricking me. I settled back into bed.
About 2 hours later my husband rolled over talking in his sleep (which is a very common occurence). Normally, it just wakes me up and I have a chuckle about his nonsense. This time it was different. There's never been a time where he rolls over, addresses me by name, and then tries to tap my shoulder asking what this man next to his bed wants. "Allison, what does he want? Why is he here?"
I immediately sat up in bed and asked him where the man is. He responds with a slurred "over there" and sloppily points towards the dresser. I jump out of bed, switch on the light, and was able to slow the beats of my racing heart. There wasn't anyone in the room. There wasn't anyone in the kitchen. There wasn't anyone in the rest of the apartment. However, if you ask my husband and I still today, we were never alone. |

So, I have had quite a few experiences. So it's hard to have really detailed stories. I have more of lists per say. |

I have had many ghost-like experiences - some of which are too inappropiate for HP standards due to their content, but below are the creepiest ones I've had that I can say: 1.) When I was a little girl, maybe 6 - 7 { can't remember }, I got one of those Furby toys for my birthday that would talk to you when you took care of it. As you probably know, those furbies are pretty talkative and one night, the toy was way more talkative than usual. I woke up at about midnight and my Furby was talking and screaming and just making racket. My parents told me multiple times to turn it off, which I had prior before going to bed, but it kept "waking up" on its own accord. During one of it's incoherent babblings, it stated very clearly, "I'm watching you, don't turn around.." It was the creepiest thing I ever heard so I had my parents take the batteries out of it and throw it away. It is one of the most distinct memories I have of it and it always put a chill down my spine when I recollect it. I'll never forget it as long as I live to tell the tale.
2.) I had never considered my house haunted, especially since we were never anywhere near a place someone passed away, but after this experience I fully believe our house is haunted. It was very late at night and I had just gotten into bed about two hours prior from writing, when suddenly I was awoken by a loud knocking sound on my door. Thinking maybe it was mom or dad, I just responded 'Yes, what is it?' but I got no response. After a few more moments of silence there was another knock at my door and then the door began to open all by itself {mind you this door was fully closed and locked. Meaning the entity unlocked the door and opened it his/herself} then slammed shut. I was freaking out because I didn't know what it was as I saw nothing there, but I felt a very cold presence in my room so I knew I had company. I closed my eyes and stayed still and the entity - whatever it was - I see its shadows through my closed eyes pacing back and forth infront of my bed very slowly, as if watching me or stalking me like a lion. It then said something incoherent in a growling voice and I felt a sudden burning pain on my arm. I jolted awake in a cold sweat and complete panic, looking around the room, but saw nothing. At first, I thought it was just a dream until I felt a..Trickle..Down my arm..So I quickly turned on the lamp on my nightstand to be greeted with a bleeding gash on my shoulder from a claw. To this day, I still do not know what it was or what it was intending...

Not long after we moved into this house two years ago, I think within the first four months, I was soaking in the tub late one night. In front of the bathroom is a short hallway that leads to the bedroom and directly in front of the bathroom door is the walkway to the living room. Cora was asleep in the bedroom and the animals weren't moving around. It was completely quiet. Out of nowhere I heard humming from the living room right by the walkway, move past the bathroom, and head down the hallway to the bedroom where it stopped. It sounded like an older woman humming a song. No explanation for it because no electronics were on, none even in that area, my phone wasn't making noise, Cora was fast asleep, and the cat and rabbit weren't moving. That's been the only thing I've noticed in this house. |

Hmm, well sounds like it could be the houses old owner? A sweet grandma maybe? That would definitely spook me though because my house is set up kinda similar |

I used to see shadow people ALL THE TIME when i was younger at an old house. I was abnormally prone to sleep paralysis, too. Which if you've never experienced it, I hope you don't. It's awful. Personally I think the two are connected.
There was also an incident with my Uncle after he passed but that's a story for when I'm not at work. Link Tree |

Oh, one of my exes didn't have sleep paralysis but he had lucid dreaming a lot and apparently lots of demons were around him. Totally creepy to hear about so I couldn't even imagine being paralyzed in sleep. |
