So as some of you already know, I am getting a new puppy! :D He should be here around July 17th or 18th and will be about 9 weeks when he arrives. And as most of you know, I have a bajillion animals, so getting a new animal isn't the problem, I've never had a puppy so young before! So I'm prepping everything for his arrival, and I feel like I'm missing some things. This is what I have for him so far:
ü XL wire crate w/ divider ü XL create bed ü Medium travel kennel/crate ü Medium soft walled bed ü Peanut butter flavored multi texture bone ü Medium Kong extreme (treat snowman) ü Ear wipes ü Chain leash ü Waterless bath ü Heavy bottom Bowl ü Plush pig toy ü Smaller teething bone ü XL create cover ü Thick orange leash ü Small tire toy ü Thin orange leash ü Small size collar with tag ü Pet stain and order remover ü Furry blanket If you can think of anything else it would be a great help! Thanks! |

looks good. maybe pee pads (im personally NEVER a fan of them but some people are) get breeders food and whatever your going to be feeding. also get old shirts and sleep in them and on them so puppy sleeps with your sent. or better yet just throw clothes on the puppy bed :) Click then treat. makes like soooo much freaking easier with training and treats can always be you just hand feeding half of dinner |

I do have a clicker already from my other dogs. :) And the breeder is for sure sending home some food so we are good there. I'm not sure what order remover I got but I'll look into Nature's miracle. Thanks! |

I highly recommend buying fairly inexpensive toys the first go around until you find out what he is interested in. Petco has a 2 for 5 bin that has all varieties. It was a good way to find out that Bristol wasn't a fan of rubber toys and ropes, but loved crinkles, hard plastic chews, etc. ☺ |

Planet Dog Snoop balls are awesome puzzle toys for pups =D I also got a big horse treat ball that I put in the dog yard. Its really tough and designed for outdoors. Also because of its size they cant bite it and get a hold so have to figure out other ways to get the treats out. |

Congrats on your new puppy! I second the Nature's Miracle enzymatic cleaner idea! Bells to hang on a door to help house train puppy are a great idea. This is an audible signal they can use to let you know when they need to go out! Hot water bottle would be great. Fill with warm water and wrap in a towel to mimic body heat of other puppies. And a clock that has a second hand that ticks wrapped in a towel can help mimic mom's heartbeat sound to soothe the puppy. A no tip water dish if you don't already have one. Don't forget to set up a Veterinary Visit in the first week after getting the puppy! Enjoy your new puppy! :)

Thanks everyone for some more suggestions.
Chao: Yes it's the same puppy. :) Auda: Hmmm yes I bet my breeder would do that for me. ;P I'll make a point to ask. Lady: Never heard the hot water bottle and clock trick, I'll have to try it. As far as a vet visit, it will be one of the first things we do!
