Fireflii's Art Thread [updated: July 10th]
fireflii July 8th, 2015 10:46:20pm 16 Posts |
I'll be posting art (drawings, manips, maybe layouts?) spam here! Not all of it will be HP related, but I'll try to keep it mostly HP related. This isn't a sale thread, it's just me sharing art! :) First art piece for now is a red fox! I'll be coloring in more types of foxes to submit to the image bank. :D Let me know what you guys might want to see next!

Haha, well I don't post art on roleplay boards, there's no reason to. :P |

:P I guess? Here's arctic fox, gray fox, and a silver fox. I hope we're allowed to reuse lineart because I already colored these in lol

*bounces* these are WONDERFUL! Do you do horses as well? Or do you stick to canines? |

Mostly canines. I can draw horses, but I haven't tried to draw them more realistically. I plan to try, though! |

So I did a bit more research. The black fox I colored earlier is actually a silver fox (I also edited it more). So here's the edited silver fox, an actual black fox, and also an albino fox! I'll probably do a marble fox and a sunglow fox, but I won't be doing any cross foxes (too many colors that I don't feel like doing). I may color them at some later point.

I don't draw horses often--and they're hard--but here is a black shire horse and (hopefully what I think is) a bay shire horse! I'm not sure what other colors they come in (supposedly a lot), but I'm a little confused between all the colors. Bay vs chestnut vs red? Maybe you guys can suggest some shire colors for me (and, if you can, provide some kind of image I can reference off of for the color). As before, drag to a new tab to view full size!

Very nice!!!
In terms of colors, bays (pictured here: http://www.theequinest.com/images/bay-standard1.jpg ) are characterized by a reddish-brown body color and black "points" (mane, tail, ear edges, and lower legs).
Chestnuts (pictured here: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9a/Avenger_-_Westphalian_horse.jpg ) have the reddish brown like a bay, but the points are either the same color or a little lighter than the body color.
Reds *known as Red Duns* (pictured here: http://www.skyfirelabs.com/webpage pictures/Horses/fletcher/right508.jpg ) have the chestnut base coat with dun factors. Usually pale yellow or tan with chestnut (red) primitive markings.
Descriptions summarized from Wikipedia ;) |

HOLY CRAP THESE ARE AMAZING AND MAKE ME WISH I DID FOXES AGAIN.
There's no issue with reusing images. I only have like... 5 generations of saddlebreds with the same image.
The oooonly little thing is give yourself credit! We require full image credits on every image, which includes things you've drawn. Showing them off here is fine but to use them on the site they need to either have your deviant art (username.deviantart.com) or at least your player name and number. That way everyone knows YOU are responsible for these masterpieces because no one can track a signature! Link Tree |
