What does your breeding routine look like and what do you do?

Each of my animals has a designated pair, and up on my layouts (thanks to the amazing blitz), I have dates when all of my backup breedings are to be done and when all of my final breedings are to be done.

And some pairs can't be bred together, so I use different emojis to mark down which lines/pairs cannot be mixed together. 

Each animal has one designated mate, wait until they turn 15 (for dogs) or 20 (for horses), breed them. -shrug-

Everyone has a specific mate. But I breed multiple times so I can try to sell backups to earn HPD from all my work in training every week. Then keep the very last one for myself to keep the line going.

I do 1 breeding at 20 for horses and 15 for dogs. Never see the point of doing more than that, do you really earn that much from back ups? What is your average monthly income from it?

I usually do backups depending on the breed, but they all have designated pairs, I've got a google doc sheet to remind me of what breeds need breeding, when their backups are due, their final breeding and their retirement dates :D 

Usely one breeding unless I know I may miss the breeding . Or if someone wants an foal I can do two 

Yeah, same Lakra. I have a lot of horses everywhere, and I have missed some final breedings occasionally. So when that happens, i just keep the last backup.

But yes, I do manage to sell backups. As soon as backups are born, I move all of them onto the same designated basic account. And I usually have extra money on that account when I log in there each week from 1 or 2 being purchased since the previous week when I logged in. But I also always have them set for auto buy sale (not bid only). I've found they sell better that way because people dont have to wait for bids to be accepted. Of course, it also depends on the breed. My mearas for example never sell. But my vanners always go.

That makes sense. I have breeds that aren't too popular so most likely wouldn't sell.
