First, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Pride Month! If you identify as 2SLGBTQIA , an ally, or even none of the above, may you have a fantastic month celebrating the right to be yourself!

As a reminder (seeing as this caused a bit of a kerfuffle last year...), HP is a safe space, both for those who identify on the rainbow, and those who don't and/or don't agree with it. We aim to accept everyone no matter their walk of life. All we ask is that, even if you don't agree with how someone identifies, or what they do or don't believe, that you be respectful to their own life experiences, much like how you'd like others to respect your own. This goes for other opinions as well...Safe Space! HP is one for all!

Spotlight Breeds - May

Yes, it's June 1st. I was meant to do this last week, but with a death in the family and the start of end-of-year crazy at work, I forgot until Wednesday, SO I'm giving this an extra half-week. 

Our two Spotlight Breeds for the month of May are the Allimoose and the Thoresian! Both can be found in the Store until next Sunday June 8th, before they return to the Cash Shop for another year!

Allimoose - Created by Custom Breed Auction winner Concourse in honor of Tronic (aka Allison), a former HP admin who tragically passed away in 2022. As a nod to her love of moose, the Allimoose is a horse breed that is highly versatile and excels at a variety of disciplines. It’s beautiful and comes in a variety of colors, but are most likely to be: gray or bay. The thing that sets the Allimoose apart from other breeds is the set of horns that rest on it’s skull. Most have moose like antlers that adorn the skull and add charm to the breed. Some may have deer antlers, but this is extremely uncommon. We celebrate them the last week of May every year, as that was when Tron's birthday is.

Thoresian - The Thoresian was added in July 2014 at the request of the player Blue #693. They are a feline-based breed, having a mane and tail like a lion, and are built like a Friesian. They can also be considered an official crossbreed on HP, as crossing a Thoroughbred with a Friesian will give you a Thoresian. 

Double Points Month

As it is now June 1st, Double Points Month is over! Shows will now award the "normal" amount of points until May 2026!

Player Survey Results

A few months ago, we the admins put out a player survey, with three main sections (one section "designed" by each of us admins, pertaining to the area of the game we are largely responsible for). I had intended for us to post the results earlier than now, however with April being nutty with egg hunts, and May being Book Fair hell (as well as that death in the family) AND the constant fighting with the show crons over the last few months, it has taken us this long to get it done. Additionally, as you will see by how long each of our replies are, we had a lot of players respond to the survey, which is both awesome and amazing, but also takes us much longer to read through and process (I know I myself had to print out my responses because there were so many long ones it was easier than reading it off my laptop!).

Additionally, seeing as our replies are to do with the future of HP, please consider the survey results our "State of the HP Union" post for this year, as much of what would be said in that is what's said in the survey results.
