Farewell (#3861) cares for this sweet houdini pup! * Name of Your Pet: Runa * Current Age of Your Pet: 8 years old (we think) * What is Their Breed?: She is for sure a border collie mix of some kind. We think maybe pit or rottie for the other half? Maybe HP can help us with some more ideas! 1. How did your pet come into your life? We rescued her from a kill shelter where she had been for 2 weeks. She was an owner surrender for being an escape artist. She was the saddest thing we'd ever seen. She had obviously just had puppies weaned as she was sagging to the floor, her kennel was in the very back corner, and the light above her was burned out so as a black dog she was completely looked over. 2. Do they have any quirky personality traits or habits? As I said she is an escape artist. She can clear a fence like a rabbit. She also does the "rottie rumble" thing where she grumbles like she is trying to talk but as a black dog it makes people think she is mean and scary. :( 3. What is your pet's favorite toy or treat? It's been gone for years but for like 2 years so carried a stuffed poop emoji EVERYWHERE. When it was shredded by another dog we tried to replace it but it wasn't the same. 4. Who is their favorite human in your household? Me of course. lol Big time mama's girl. 5. What is a special memory that you have with them? Before we moved to WA, we had this elderly neighbor guy who loved her. She would bark at all the cats, loose dogs, raccoons, etc. so they stayed away from his yard which he was happy with. He would toss her treats a lot and a few times we found her hanging out with him in his backyard (after one of her many escapes) and they just enjoyed each others company. * Please Provide Up To 3 Pictures Of Your Pet: Ride to freedom away from the shelter: One Our most recent camping trip (she looks like a different dog!): Two Sleepy girl: Three ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Interested in having your pet featured? She really flourished once we got her! Looking at old pictures from our first few months together he coat was so short and dull and now she is such a floof! Also she was my service dog for a while before covid. |
