I have over 1 billion HPD and didn't get an achievement for it. I didn't get the 500mill achievement either.

I just did a test on my achievement test basic...money has to be in your "main" bank account, not the savings (or total between the two, like $250 mill in your main bank and $250 mill in savings) in order for the achievements for money to award!

Edit to add: and it's part of one of the nightly crons to award both the $500 mill and $1 bill achievements, if that info is important to you at all.

So do I take it out of savings and it will appear after midnight?

If you want the achievement(s), yes, the required amounts need to be in your main bank account, yes.
