January Breed Spotlights

This month, our spotlight breeds are feeling a bit wild...

Drum Horse - The Drum Horse is a crossbreed created by breeding a Gypsy Vanner with either a Shire or a Clydesdale. It is based on and named for the horses in the Life Guards of the British Royal Household Cavalry who carry large silver kettle drums and their drummer. 

Dulmen Pony - Also known as the Dülmener or the Merfelderbrücher, the Dulmen Pony is an endangered small feral pony from Germany. 

Garrano - The Garrano is an endangered breed of pony from Northern Spain and Portugal that has remained unchanged for thousands of years. 

Sorraia - The Sorraia is a Portuguese rare breed of horse. They are known for their primative look, including a convex profile and dun color. 

Spanish Mustang - The Spanish Mustang is an American horse that originates with the horses brought over by Spanish Conquistadors to modern-day Mexico in the 16th century. 

The above breeds can be found in the Store for all of this week, before they return to the Cash Shop next Sunday for another year!
