Hey everyone! 

Over the years, I have curated several "Generation xx" images for my Danish Warmbloods.

I used to be able to upload them to DeviantArt (circa 2009 to maybe 2019). From there, I could get a link, copy said link, and then paste into the "Horse Image URL" on each horse's individual page. 

Something with DA changed, and I had to migrate to Imgur instead. Imgur was working well for years! 

But, tonight, when I attempted to do the same thing I have done for YEARS, the links won't work on the HP site. 

Thinking it was me, I tried again on DA, and used LightShot to upload the image I wanted and get a link for it. 

I went back to DA, copied image address, and ultimately did get an image to upload. 

While I got an image to upload, the size is now so small! 

How is everyone getting custom photos to display on their individual horse pages these days?

Imgur should still work (I use it for 800x600 images and sites similar to it - imgbb or postimg - for larger images). But for some reason the 'direct link' they often give you isn't the correct one, and/or will also often link to the site's 'preview' of the image which - for images above 1000px or so - is often smaller than the full-size image itself.

On imgur I tend to right-click the image once it has been uploaded and select 'open image in new tab', then copy the url of that new tab to use for images. The url needs to end in .png or .jpg to work, I believe.

I used to always use imgbb but recently it's been uploading things and making them blurred, so I've gone back to imgur again :)

I had issues in the past with imgur deleting my images after they'd been uploaded, so they make me nervous now :(

I *believe* imgur should continue hosting images that are uploaded by users with imgur accounts. I don't think I've had an issue with any of mine vanishing, though I could be mistaken.

Thank you so much for your help!

I logged in to HP tonight, went to my horses, and found that previously uploaded images had been deleted! 

So, I hopped onto Imgur and found that 90% of my posts on my account had been deleted, and I was banned from their chat feature too! 

I sent off a message to their Customer Support group, and hope I get an answer. 

Had to spend time uploading old images and snagging links again. 

Thank you so much for the "open in new tab" hint Utakata! This worked like a charm!

I will point out that imgur changed their upload image handle to "new post" when before there was the option to ignore new post and just upload your own image instead. Maybe the conflict with blocked accounts comes from accidentally clicking on "To Community" after uploading image from "New Post"? I know I've gotten in trouble from the site from accidentally clicking on post to community thinking that would save the image to my account. 

Now, I just "new post" to upload my image and once it uploads, click on the green circle icon on top right that will lead me back to my account, and my new uploaded image should show up there. Hope it helps! I'm sorry things have been wonky for you, lately.
