I got this today, my ferns. A tribute to my favorite book as a child, "Where The Red Fern Grows." My sleeve is death/heaven themed. I think it fits well

My first tattoo that I got at the age of 17; it was to signify that I was proud of being from "Florida". I also love Flamingos.

Rib piece done on one of my birthdays. Just a reminder to always chase your dreams.

I'm a Leo XD

This one was supposed to be a "matching" tattoo with my sister. She got a sun, and I got the moon. I got this right before I when I deployment back in 2017. 

This one was actually done for free because the tattoo artist guy had a crush on me so XD

I had a big pink hibiscus flower added behind the bird after.

Originally got the flower/skull after my first divorce. It was a reminder that something beautiful could come from something so dark... and the butterflies were added later on to brighten it up and not have it so dark. 

This piece was done in Spain! I wanted something that I could remember all the fun times I had there in the military. XD When I think of "Spain" I think bullfighting so here is a bull. The guy who did it asked me why a bull and when I told him my answer he laughed. #rememberthepaella 

Another tattoo (map/compass) done AFTER I came back from deployment in 2017 as a reminder that we sometimes get confused and lose our way, but eventually we always end up exactly where we need to be. 

Matching tattoo with my EX husband... who I am currently divorcing. It was supposed to be "forever". Our tattoos are in spanish. 

Tu Conmigo - You with me. His says "Yo Contigo" - I with you.

My EGA - because I am a bad@$$ Marine! I am very proud of the things I have done in the Marine Corps and the person it has helped shaped me into today. No one can ever take that from me!

(This one was actually a cover up - I had a beach in a bottle and waves with seashells)

I have a few more but mehhhh they're just little bitty things. I do plan on getting some of them covered. XD

So the rose and cresent moon on my shoulder is a nod to Sailor Moon, Warrior on my thigh was my FIRST tattoo to signify "be a warrior, not a worrier" and then the feathers were a nod to my late grandfather. When I was a teen, I inherited his old ford explorer that was COVERED in feathers from over the years and I used to collect feathers on every trail. The abstract art giraffe is on my left calf - it was a spur of the moment, late night my roommate's BF had a tattoo gun decision LOL - I'm super tall and joke that I'm part giraffe so that's just the joke. Finally the saturn planet on my left forearm is a matching without directly matching tattoo with my wife. She has a space ship on her arm (seen here : https://www.instagram.com/p/BSRTHV-gQzs/  ) . 

Not pictured - I have a small teal foot on my left wrist which is for the child that Steph and I lost due to miscarriage back in 2018. 

I plan to get a full sleeve soon once I find a good enough artist and save up enough money xD

I got 3 new ones on Thursday.

So on my legs I got "hell" (or) "high water." An old saying that basically means get through anything no matter what. A reminder to myself to keep going. On my ankle I got the number 999, it's an "angel" number as they call them. But it signifies ending and moving on. Particulary the ending of a bad time in your life, of which I've had plenty. 

Ahhh I'm so jealous! Hubby and I got used to our amazing artists in Florida, so now that we are back in our tiny home town in North Carolina we're scared to go anywhere else xD we're planning a trip back down to Florida to see our artists next winter but I have NO clue how I'm going to wait that long D:
