Well... I'm kind of back.

Hello all. It's been a hot minute since I've been on HP. Like 2.5 years or so. A lot has happened in that time!

I graduated from school with my BS in Clinical Laboratory Sciences and got an amazing job working in the hematology lab at a big academic research hospital.

Then I got married and had a wonderful honeymoon in Jamacia.

Then I quit my job and my husband and I moved back to his hometown where both our families are.

Then I got a job at a smaller hospital working in the microbiology lab.

Then we started building a house.

Then we found out we were pregnant!

Then we closed on the house and moved into it in the middle of the giant Texas snow-maggedon.

Then I gave birth to my super cute and amazing baby boy! His name is Henry and he is the best baby that ever lived. Except he sucks at sleeping but we are working on it.

Then I quit my job to be a stay-at-home mom until Henry turns one.

Then we flew to California with a 5 month old (and my 2 year old nephew) for my grandmother's 70th birthday.

And now I'm here.

For those who didn't know me before, my name is Shelby but everyone typically calls be aveera, avey, or aveecado. I am 27 years old and married to a wonderful man. We have a 6 month old son named Henry and two cats named Griffin and Scylla. My hobbies include lab experiments, genealogy, and binging Netflix. I been on HP off and on for 12 years. When I was here last I was briefly a member of the mod team before I left the game. I mostly stick to doggy breeds because I don't have the patience to wait 21 weeks for the horses. When I left I was breeding Standard Schnauzers and had the highest pointed of the breed but they've been removed from the store due to lack of active breeders. At some point, I may try to recruit people to get them added back and do some retirement breeding but for now I'm going to try some Berners because my husband won't let me get one in RL no matter how much I have begged. Also, I like coding layouts and stuff but now I have to remember how because I don't think I have coded a single darn thing in 2.5 years... so there's that.

I don't know exactly how much time I'll have for HP. It'll probably be mostly after baby has gone to bed (around 8pm HP time). So, I'm going to start slow and see if it sticks...
