Keep Your Accounts Safe!

Hey everyone!

I feel like everyone could use this (planned to be) annual reminder about keeping your HP accounts safe and secure. We have been lucky in that we haven't had the need to post this reminder for awhile (-knocks frantically on wood-), but it's always something good to keep in mind. I know many people currently or previously have used account trainers, and if you're anything like me, you never bother to go through and change your password(s) after giving that information to another player.

This is your annual reminder to change your password(s)! It is always a good idea to do this every once in awhile, because as safe as we try to keep HP, sometimes people are jerks and try to thieve other's stuff, mess with others' things, etc. Plus, changing your password periodically helps you keep track of who you have given that information out to.

Tips for a good password:

Try making it a weird phrase. (eg: iLikeBigButts4ndiCannotLie!)

 

Another suggestion:

Even though it is more work, if you are letting someone on your account to train, having someone create all your shows for a week, etc., consider changing your password before you let them in, then changing it again once they have done their task.
