I don't have favourites per se, but I have been addicted to watching True Crime stuff on Netflix and it's bleeding into what I'm reading, as well!

I just read this one:

-shudders- I've listened to several podcasts on Pickton and idk if it's the pig aspect but it gives me the heeby jeebies.

Canadian True Crime did a 4-part series on him. If you want to read more about him on their website is some book recommendations.

-raises hand- Meeeeeee.

I'm currently working my way through My Favorite Murder, but Wine & Crime is next on my list. I also have to catch up on Dr. Death (do not recommend if you're squeamish or sensitive with medical procedures and / or bad doctors). I tried to listen to Crime Junkie, but I didn't like the format of it - or that they allegedly plagiarized other podcasts. Morbid is also on my list.

I also am going to grab a copy of The Stranger Beside Me and will be watching I'll Be Gone in the Dark, about the Golden State Killer.

I'm obsesssseeedddddd with True Crime!

My favorite podcast is : And That's Why We Drink (true crime and paranormal) , Serial, Crime Junkies, and Bailey Sairan on youtube!

Books: I don't read non-fiction true crime. But I can recommend plenty of true crime fiction!
Sharp objects - Gillian Flynn
Tiny Pretty Things - Sona Charaipotra
Ashley Bell - Dean Koontz
After the Fire - Will Hill
The Cellar , The Lost, The Twin, The Cabin - Natasha Preston
Butterfly Garden - Dot Hutchinson
Cuckoo's Calling - Robert Gailbraith

Mind Hunter on netflix is GOOD! That focuses on the FBI psychology unit and serial killers.

i listen to case file on spotify.... it true crime from all over the world but as its an australian podcast it has some very notorious australian cases. the one that shook me the most was Danial Morcombe, i was the same age as him, i lived only 30 mins away and it changed how people parented and even brought in a law for public transportation and hearing the actual sting to get him to confess was pretty intense.

i also realy enjoyed mind hunters.

sons of sams was also very interesting.

i have more crime fiction these days but still a good percentage of my book shelf is sci fi lol

ALL RIGHT Y'ALL. I finished MFM and need new podcasts. I'm currently struggling to get through Morbid, but I may have to give up. I'm listening to the Willie Pickton episodes and, I just cannot. It's all over the place, the repetitive jokes are getting less and less funny, it's a rough one. It's split into three parts but I feel it's less because of how much there is and more because of all the stupid interruptions. The Ed Kemper episode nearly had me driving my car into a building because of how many times they said "charming" and "sociopath" and "real weirdo".

I won't listen to Crime Junkie because I can't stand their storytelling ("Full. Body. Chills." goodbyeeeeee) and also because of their plagiarism and seemingly getting away with it / not taking responsibility for it. '

I want something that's more straightforward, not a whole lot of chit-chat (sorry MFM) and one that isn't so jokey. MFM and Morbid both kind of toe the line - Morbid even crosses it for me - of what's appropriate to joke about re: victims, and what's not. I'd really rather not listen to something that falls under the 'comedy' category.

Canadian True Crime podcast! Most cases are multiple episodes long, it's heavily fact, not comedy, and she has an Australian accent!
