Hey guys!

Awhile back we added an Image Bank to HP for people to choose new pictures for their animals if they do not want to buy or make a manip.

But we didn’t really advertise it enough, so not that many people use it or have donated images to it. Which is my fault, I think it just got lost in all of the other things we had going on. Anyway, it’s pretty empty at the moment, and we really want to add more art to it!

So we are putting out another call to HP players for images for the image bank. We would really appreciate anyone who is willing to help us out with getting images for it. And we will we willing to pay either HPD or upgrade time for them! For more information, read below.

Payment:

If you give us an image and we use it we will EITHER give you 1 week of upgrade time per image (for all options) OR pay you the amount of HPD that you normally charge for such images (for photomanips and digital paintings).

If there’s something else you are interested in, message me beforehand and maybe we can work something out! No guarantees though.

If we choose not to use your image, we will let you know!

Here are the types of images we are looking for:

Photographs

We are looking for any photographs of your horses and dogs that you are willing to donate to the image bank. The only rule is that the images you give us must be YOUR images, not any random stock image off of the internet.

Photo Manipulations

We are looking for any photo-manipulations which we can use, these can be either full manipulations or they can be something easy, like the breed defaults some people have for their breeds with just the image behind the text. The only rules for these is that ALL images and resources used in them must be available for commercial use* and that they must be your original works.

*Commercial use means they can be used on sites like HP and where the primary purpose will be for a business. In addition to being for commercial use, they must not require attribution/credits. However, you have to tell us where it came from when you submit it, that way we can make sure. We have quite a few examples of different stock resources on our Help page.

Digital Paintings

Any digital paintings that you have (realistic or cartoon-y) which you did yourself and are willing to let us use, can be submitted as well!

Other Rules:

All images which you submit must be your original work or photography, and any resources (like stock images) that you use must be available for commercial use with no attribution. This might be semi-complicated for manips if you don’t have your own images to use, but for photographs and for digital paintings, I don’t forsee it being an issue. If you have any questions about an image, please ask me and I’ll point you in the right direction!

None of the images which you submit can have credits on them, as they should not be required. However, if you use a manip, you must submit the image links to use so we can double check. However, they can have your artist’s signature on them if you want. We will add our image bank watermark as well.

Any images that you submit will be property of HP to use indefinitely. We will use it in the image bank and also possibly for advertising purposes. You will not be able to have it removed from HP at will, it will remain a part of the game’s image bank until we decide to retire it. However, you are still free to use it for your own personal use and portfolio, but you cannot submit it to another site or sell the exact image (either for real money or game money of any kind).

So to clarify the copyright issues:

• If you submit a photograph, you can use it for manips, display it for your own personal use, or even use it for free (not paid) stock for other players.
  
  

• If you submit a photo manipulation, you can display this in your artist portfolio but you cannot reuse or resell that exact image to anyone else.  This includes use off of HP or on other games. You can, however, make a different manip with the same stock images and do whatever you want with it.
  
  

• If you submit a digital painting, you can still display it in your own personal portfolio, but you can not reuse it or resell it. This includes use off of HP or on other games.

I have dog images that I have available as stock to the public, can I submit those?

If you'd like to donate an image but don't want to put up one of your photographs, send me a message and I can see about doing a digital painting using your image as stock. You'll get the full resolution final product, and Sam gets an image for the bank.

I can also do line art off someone's image to use for several designs. If you give me an image for line art I'll give you the full resolution lines as well as a personalized image using them. Or a layout.
