Making your own "cross breed" lines

Hi everyone, has anyone experimented with creating your own cross-breeds, i.e. making your own pintabians? what are the options available, is it frowned upon or liked and for what breeds does it work with?
Thanks XD |

We actually have that in place! Not too many people do it, but you can. I've actually been looking for a Friesian breeder that wouldn't mind cross breeding with my saddlebreds and then training the resulting Georgian grandes together. Link Tree |

That's actually your only option to getting breeds like the Irish Paint, you can only crossbreed them into existence since they aren't in the store. So it's a pretty good to go thing on here. http://horsephenomena.com/viewpost.php?id=8252 ^ that's the link to the accepted crossbreeds list |

I don't think I really breed anything that can be cross to make a new breed. If I did I'd love to be able to cross them out, as long as it's an actual accepted crossbreed I wouldn't care that's its not "pure" anymore. |

That is how Freia and I started our Warlanders. I breed Andalusians and she does Freisians so it worked out. If you are interested in cross breeding maybe find someone else that breeds something you want to cross with and partner up! It's been a blast so far for us. ☺ |

I would love to do greybadors like my late dog Sable--part lab/part greyhound but it isn't a known thing. |
