In some digging around for horse breeds from countries, I came across a breed called the Rhenish German Coldblood. I thought about adding it, but realised to my dismay there is neither the Rhenish German nor the South German Coldblood on the list.
Info: The basic section Rhenish German Coldblood
Height averages at 16h.h. - 17h.h.
Heavy Draft
Colours; Blacks, Bays, Roans, Greys and Chestnut
Info: The actual interesting section
The breed originates from Prussia in Wickrath (now Germany, North Rhine - Westphalia) as a combination of Clydesdale, Shire, Suffolk Punch and Belgian Draft horses. It was used by farmers to help with the hard land in the area and seemed to have been very popular pre WW2. A couple sites say it was probably the most common horse back then. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case.
WW2 decimated the breed's numbers, along with other breeds, and now it resides on the endangered species list of Germany. It's a good, sturdy breed cited for being calm, hard-working and intelligent. Because of low numbers, I can't seem to find a direct association for it. This is also probably because I can't speak german, so that side of the internet is lost to me xD
I would enjoy seeing this breed around, and would happily add it to my own breeds. Even the South German Coldblood, which doesn't seem to be exactly the same, but I'm no technician on that either. XD
I think this might be an association of some type? It's also originally in german but translated by google xD https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&tl=en&u=https://tgrdeu.genres.de/default/hausundnutztiere/detailansicht/detail/63E5D466-BA4B-FD58-E040-A8C0286E751D
How about it guys? Anyone interested in joining me on adventure?
