Where are my runners?

Hey guys! So, I'm starting to go stir crazy when I'm not working. I've gained some weight during this whole thing and I'm not too happy with myself anxiety wise and physically. Especially since it's summer time. Anyways, I've ran in the past (Nothing crazy and I never stuck with it) But, when I DID run, I really enjoyed it. Burning the endorphines really helped me. So, there are two apps that people are recommending me to use. 1) NRC (Nike Running Club) 2) Couch Potato to 5K Trainer
I downloaded both the apps, but I'm not sure which one to use. It seems like Couch Potato breaks it down for you a lot more.
Does anyone have any experience with these apps or any suggestions for someone who wants to get into running? |

Couch to 5k would be my recommended app to ease back into it, broken down really nice to get you going. And if a week feels too hard later on theres no harm or shame in repeating the week which depending on the plan might even be advisable to prevent things like shin splints (I've seen various different versions and some have crazy jumps around week 6/7) |

Update: I've done 2 days of the C25K and I LOVE IT. It paces you exactly where you need to start and I feel it in my legs but not to the point where I don't want to do it the next day! |

dont forget auda the idea of couch to 5k is that you run 1 day rest the next, its an every other day program :) |

C25k is good but I also really like Runkeeper by Asics! It's the same principle as C25K but there's more coaching involved. It reminds you to run with proper form, good breathing techniques, and motivation. It's great if you need more than just a "begin running/begin walking"! ![]() ![]() |

I'm using the couch to 5k one too! I've only used it once in prep for Mame's thread she posted but from what I've seen it looks good! ![]() |

honestly the early few weeks of couch to 5k its ok but as it goes on the rest days are really important just like if you were in the gym doing weights |
