Note About Warnings:

I think this needs to be cleared up about how warnings work on the game, as a few people have been confused lately:
If you get a warning from a mod (verbal or official), it is basically saying "hey! i noticed this is wrong, please fix it". Or "hey, please don't do that again".
For things like graphic crediting violations - if you fix the issue, like improperly credited images, then that's it. The warning will remain in your log, but it won't count against you anymore since you fixed the issue.
And if it's for something like swearing in chat, then it's just a "hey, don't do that again", like a reminder. These expire and don't count against you anymore after 6 months.
For "serious" offenses, warnings won't expire, but for the most part if you do something "serious" (like threatening other players, scamming people, cheating on the game, etc.) you'll have more than a warning. Most people do not have these.
It's really, really rare for someone to get banned from the game. MOST of the banned accounts on the game are accounts that were voluntarily closed by their owners because they had too many basic accounts. We just don't have a way to "close" accounts except for banning them.
If you have multiple offenses for the same thing, and show no signs of improving it, then you can escalate to more serious punishments, like eventual banning, but if you mess up on credits a few times, I assure you this will not happen.
Everyone has 25 "strikes" before an automatic ban for too many warnings. But these are only punishments that currently count. So if you fix an issue, or it's been more than 6 months, then these don't count anymore.
I'm hoping this clears things up for some people, as lately there has been a lot of concern over getting banned, when in reality, we very VERY rarely actually ban people from the game. Now that's not an excuse to go out and break rules :P. But seriously, if you're a player who generally tries to follow the rules, and is nice and respectful to other people, there is virtually no chance of us banning you.
I also want to mention that when you get an official warning, or any other sort of punishment, the message will come from my account (account #1), even if I did not send it to you. You're more than welcome to reply to that message and ask questions, and I will check your logs and help you as best I can! However, all things from the mod panel come from my account to prevent issues with people getting mad at mods, and also so that you're able to reply to it and get an admin to answer.
Also! This is the second thing I posted today, so make sure you read the post before this about adding new breeds! |

I think mod messages need to stick instead of being deleted after 2 weeks! Especially for players who dont log into a certain account for awhile...like a retirement! |

If we message a retirement account we always message the main account as well to let you know. ☺ |

I try to message both, but on occasion I forget. It's definitely something that we try to do, especially since a lot of retirements aren't logged into for extended periods of time. |

So is a warning counted as like a violation? Or is it a thing were it's like "We're giving you a chance to fix it" for things such as graphics? Or does it automatically go to a violation. |

linwood, you get a verbal warning the first time, and then an official warning if it happens again. The verbal gives you a chance to fix it. ☺ |

The official gives you a chance to fix it also though, it's more "serious", but if you actually DO fix it we won't count it in your total punishment tally or anything. |
