Good morning, HP!

We're coming to you today with a get-to-know-us post! We always have new and returning players and the mod squad has changed quite a bit recently, so we thought it would be fun to re-introduce ourselves to you with a little questionnaire!

The friendliness of HP's community is super important to us, and we want you all to feel like you know us so that when you need us, you'll be comfortable reaching out.

We plan to continue to do things like this in the future as well. We want to remain approachable as the game's player base grows and the game's staff changes and grows with the community!

How long have you been playing HP? Since before it opened ;).

Favorite horse breed? I love gaited and draft crosses, but Thoroughbreds overall.

Favorite dog breed? Dachshunds or BIG dogs like Great Danes

Have you ever or do you currently ride horses? What discipline? Yes! I do hunter/jumper, but I haven't jumped since November, so it's more like hunter under saddle these days.

Do you have any pets? Yes! An OTTB named Pilot, a cat named Noodle, a cat named Mr. Doo, and a pointer/black lab mix named Sully.

Who inspires you? I have a lot of strong female role models in my life, but I've definitely thought to myself "what would [my horse trainer] do?" on multiple occasions when I have to make tough decisions. However, I also really want to be Joy the Baker when I grow up ;P.

Do you know your Myers-Briggs type? ISTP/ESTP (Virtuoso/Entrepreneur) - it really depends on my mood and current mental health status if I fall more into the introvert or extrovert category.

Where are you from? Originally from Wisconsin but currently in South Carolina!

How long have you been playing HP? I've been a member of HP since 2010 but recently got back into HP in late 2017. 

Favorite horse breed? My favorite breed is a Thoroughbred. I used to own an Off Track girl who was the best horse I've ever owned!

Favorite dog breed? Poodles, Hands down! Standard or Toy specifically. The minis always seem to hate me for some reason lol

Have you ever or do you currently ride horses? Yes! What discipline? Oh goodness. I've ridden so many. I've done Saddleseat (my first love), English, Western Pleasure, Barrel Racing, Jumpers, and I've even done some flat racing on my old QH girl. 

Do you have any pets? HA. Do I have pets.... Currently I have a Doberman/Rottie mix Named Nyru, a Boxer named Iwa, a German Shepherd named Daisy, 2 German Shepherd/Collie Mixes named Blue and Ryder, a Papillion/Pom mix named Simi, an Italian Greyhound named Yagi, an American Eskimo named Bailey (BFs dog) and a Standard Poodle named Mar-Vell (Boyfriend and Mines together). What's your favorite band or music artist? Ohhh Thats a hard one! I love the Band Perry though... but anything 90s - early 2000 country is my go-to when i want music.

What's your favorite TV show? Gilmore Girls! I've watched all the seasons at least 7 times.

What is your favorite season? Fall, but like the early non-rainy fall, before it gets all muddy and gross looking outside.

What do you do for work? I am currently the manager of a Dog Boarding Facility, as well as the Trainer on site. 

Do you have any hobbies? I'm a huge nerd and I play D&D, as well as Starfinder (D&D in space), plus I love to paint the little miniature figures that they use during the games. Plus I have a PS4 that I play Monster Hunter, Red Dead Redemption, Spyro and other similar games on!

One person has said I remind them of Harley Quinn, I also view myself a little bit as Gwenpool (Female Deadpool), I'd love to say I'm a lot like Belle but with a little more back bone, and with how Nerdy I am... Maybe a modern day Lorelai from Gilmore Girls?

What is your favorite place you've traveled? Munich Germany. I would LOVE to go back some day and at one point dreamed of living there.

Have you ever or do you currently ride horses? What discipline? I haven't in a long time, but when I did I rode English and was beginning jumping basics. My lessons were very off and on over my entire childhood. If I get back into riding, I think I would prefer to pursue Dressage or Western style.

Do you have any pets? Almost 8 year old shepherd lab mix named Berlin. I adopted her when she was 6 months old.

What is your favorite season? Absolutely autumn. There is no contest! Halloween is the BEST.

Did you go to college/university? If so, what is your degree in? I haven't, but I may look into attending one in the coming years for an IT or programming degree to further my career.

What is your favorite place you've traveled? Disney World, but that was a LONG time ago. I think I was 12 at the time? I really want to go back again especially now that Harry Potter is there. ♥

Do you play any other games? I don't play any other SIM games consistently, but for the PC right now I play World of Warcraft, Overwatch, and Teamfight Tactics. I've played almost every MMO released to some extent and it is definitely my favorite genre of game. A couple of my favorite solo titles are The Last of Us and Ori and the Blind Forest.

Who inspires you? My mom and dad. People who have the courage to drop everything and travel the world.
